Burke’s Development Office implements a multi-faceted fundraising strategy, which includes an annual fund, auction, donor and alumni relations, various cultivation and stewardship events and activities, and capital fundraising efforts. Edmund Burke School is currently seeking an Advancement Services professional to supports all areas of the Development Office with a specific emphasis on database management, reporting and analysis, prospect research and management, gift recording and acknowledgement, pledge management and collection, data integrity and data security. This is a full-time, year-round position, which is annually contracted from July 1 – June 30.
A minimum of 4 years supporting the efforts of a nonprofit development office, preferably in an independent school environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A minimum of 4 years of experience with Raiser’s Edge software required, with capabilities in data entry, reports, queries, and exports.
Strong proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
Familiarity with auction management software highly desirable, specifically Greater Giving and Bidding for Good.
Familiarity with student information software desirable, specifically Whipple Hill.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and/or projects simultaneously while addressing the needs of the office; ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative and use good judgment in dealing with confidential information.
Weekend and evening work possible.
