Roxbury Latin is seeking a Director of External Relations to become part of the School’s leadership team. The successful candidate will coordinate and supervise all School communication (including website, social media, and newsletter) for constituents, the media, and the public, as well as manage public relations and marketing initiatives involving the School’s overall program and plan. Other responsibilities will include leading, coordinating, and executing programs in celebration of Roxbury Latin’s 375th anniversary in 2020, in addition to identifying and bringing to campus every year important speakers from outside the School: transformative leaders, public servants, and exemplars of particular virtues and disciplines. Most importantly, the Director of External Relations will be a visionary who can identify distinctive features of the School and tell “The RL Story,” both locally and in the national media. The Director will thus support and enhance Roxbury Latin’s contribution to the neighborhood, the City of Boston, and larger educational communities, expanding RL’s “footprint,” deepening relationships, fostering partnerships, and affirming the School as an important resource.
