The John Cooper School seeks candidates for the position of Director of Strength Training & Conditioning. The successful candidate will design, plan, conduct, and supervise a comprehensive strength & conditioning program for the Middle School Physical Education Program and the Interscholastic Athletic Department, which offers 18 sub-varsity and varsity sports.
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Nutrition, Health or related field/equivalent training and experience
Minimum of two years of experience directly related to strength & conditioning at the high school or collegiate level.
Certification in Strength and Conditioning (CSCS)
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certification, with Olympic Lift training
Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
Speed Development and Training Certification through USATF or USTFCCCA, preferably Level II
Implement and coordinate an in-season and off-season strength program for Upper and Middle School athletic teams
Teach strength training, core, nutrition, and flexibility to Middle School Physical Education classes
Establish a comprehensive Summer Program for all sub-varsity and varsity athletes
Ongoing maintenance and management of the strength and conditioning equipment and facilities
