The Spring Hill School seeks a full-time Director of Enrollment and Marketing.
Admissions & Enrollment
Develop long and short-term admission strategies to meet annual admission goals in compliance with Bay Area Directors of Admission Principles of Good Practice
Evaluate continually and redesign where appropriate all aspects of the admissions program with the goal of maintaining a capacity enrollment of qualified students and a wait-list of qualified applicants.
Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment, including systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with prospective and applicant families, interviews with parents as needed or appropriate, and communication of final decisions to the appropriate individuals.
Manage the re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year with constant monitoring of attrition and retention.
Plan and manage open house events, admission tours, fairs, and other admissions appropriate community events.
Initiate and create outreach activities intended to interest and engage the community, both internal and external, for increased recognition of school and integration into community.
Keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admissions and enrollment program.
Develop with the Head of School the admissions/marketing budget.
Manage tuition assistance program.
Manage/coordinate student assessment process.
Research, implement and manage database system.
Create and lead Admissions Committee.
Develop ambassador program, including recruitment and training of appropriate ambassadors, and collaborate with the network of parents, former parents and alumni to assist in the admissions program.
Represent the school at various gatherings and conferences related to admissions.
Attend meetings of the Board of Directors as requested and report on admissions, enrollment, communications, and marketing.
Represent school as a member of the Bay Area Directors of Admission (BADA).
Oversee all internal and external communications to promote an understanding of, respect for, and excitement for the school’s mission, vision, and goals across diverse constituents.
Promote good relationships and create networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups that can be helpful in attracting appropriate students.
Direct and coordinate communications among internal and external community (parents, outside community, other schools, business community).
Develop content for website and manage website.
Manage and oversee social media, weekly electronic bulletins/newsletters.
Facilitate, design and schedule with Head of School parent education series.
Coordinate, manage, attend community events (e.g., Farmers Market, Chamber of Commerce, Petaluma Educational Foundation, Petaluma Mothers Club Preschool Night, etc.).
Oversee and maintain Spring Hill’s brand identity in all representations of the school and increase brand recognition.
Identify emerging marketing strategies, including testing for effectiveness and reporting results.
Manage advertising program and budget.
Connect with media outlets and publications for advertising opportunities.
Create a coordinated publications program to effectively communicate with various constituencies (e.g., newsletters, school magazine, electronic communication).
Develop appropriate marketing and public relations materials, ads, mailings, web pages and publications that interpret the school.
Articulate and promote the school's mission and philosophy, and sustain and enhance the school's climate and culture.
Participate in the life of the school.
Serve on the administrative team.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Support the school and its leadership.
Attend meetings with or representing the Head of School
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Experience in admissions in an independent school environment.
Skill in public relations, communications, strategic marketing, board relations, and/or school management.
Fluency in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with school admissions database a plus (inResonance/Sandbox or other databases)
