Academic and residential duties include, but are not limited to:
Teaching Spanish levels 1 through 4.
Implementing a scope and sequence for a cohesive Spanish Program.
Maintain records of student progress
Communicating regularly with students’ advisors and parents.
Evening dorm and study hall coverage as well as weekend duty rotation.
Most faculty live in campus housing or in the dormitory as a hall parent. Faculty are required to work approximately 10 weekends throughout the school year as residential supervision and a trip chaperone. In addition, they will have 2-4 advisees and be expected to maintain close communication with the parents of their advisees.
An undergraduate/graduate degree in Spanish, Education, and/or related field.
Experience with students with a wide range of skills and abilities.
Excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication skills with students, faculty, parents, and school districts.
Positive spirit and eagerness to be part of a vibrant community.
