Curriculum planning, implementing instruction, and executing effective classroom management strategies for elementary aged students in the areas of English, Language Arts, History, and Bible.
Utilizing ActivBoard regularly in lessons.
Communicating with parents during school year through regular correspondence, electronic gradebooks, and maintaining class pages on the website.
Working closely with grade level team members, specialists, administrators, and other colleagues to ensure that all students make academic and social progress in accordance with FBA’s mission and core values.
Actively involved in pursuing professional development in course preparation and implementing technology initiatives in the classroom.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop daily and weekly lesson plans for students.
Teach the class assigned according to prepared lesson plans with a focus on English, Language Arts, History, and Bible.
Develop various instructional methods that will help the students to gain appropriate knowledge.
Develop required instructional tools for students, if required.
Keep track of student behavior and plan changes accordingly.
Assists administration by being observant and seeking to always care for the safety of students, their good conduct and well-being of facilities and equipment.
Implement assigned duties and tasks according to the rules and regulations planned by the school
Respond to directions of the Principal and other personnel with delegated authority.
Actively engage in student life.
Attend Faculty meetings.
Adheres to the Faculty and Staff Handbook.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school, TEA certified, Masters preferred.
Excellent Christian character and a proven record of outstanding classroom performance.
Preference will be given to candidates with core subject experience.
Excellent writing skills and very strong verbal communications skills are expected, along with the ability to be a positive member of the faculty.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a highly collaborative and rigorous environment.
Ideal knowledge of current trends in education.
Interested in leveraging technology to improve the quality of the education delivered to students.
