Lexington Christian Academy is currently accepting applications for a Director of Student Life, beginning August 1, 2017. Candidates should possess the following:
Effective interpersonal skills in relating to middle and high school students and their parents
Collaborative team approach
EDUCATION: A bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree in Education or a related field; is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Consideration is given to candidates with a proven track record in school administration and in mentoring middle and upper school students as well as developing student leadership. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as, strong verbal and written communication skill with all school stakeholders—students, parents, and faculty.
PROFICIENCY: The candidates we seek have a broad and deep knowledge of adolescents and school culture. In addition, candidates must be able to establish a framework in which leaning, effective discipline and growth can take place. They must relate well to young people and still set clear limits and expectations.
SPIRITUAL MATURITY: Recognizing that LCA is strongly committed to historic Christianity, we expect that candidates will subscribe to the Academy’s Statement of Faith, Standards for Christian Living, and be active participants in a Christian congregation.

Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time, 12-month position, reviewed annually. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and/or qualifications.
