Lakeside School’s Summer School Programs is currently recruiting for an Upper School Librarian. The position will be part time. The dates for employment are June 25 – August 3 with hours of 8 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There will be an orientation on Thursday, June 21.

Collaborating with summer teachers on developing information literacy and research lessons associated with classroom projects
Teaching students, through formal and informal instructional methods, how to successfully navigate the research process
Supervising library spaces so that student behavior supports the library’s academic purpose
Working in partnership with the Upper School Summer Director to support teachers and students
Teaching or work experience with high-school level students
Experience with curriculum development
Experience in working with a wide range of learning styles
Candidates must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check
Excellent communication and human relation skills
Strong organizational skills
Positive and collaborative attitude
Sense of humor and enthusiasm

The stipend for this position is $4,000. Lunch is included.
