St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for a Lower School Library Media Specialist, beginning August 2018. This is a one-year, leave replacement position. Successful candidates should possess the ability to manage an elementary school library, teach library and media skills classes to students in grades K-2 and work flexibly with homeroom teachers in grades 3-5 to support class activities and projects with lessons that build students’ independence in applying their library and media skills. Successful candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to create a nurturing and engaging environment for students, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, colleagues, and parents. Candidates are expected to support the mission of SPA and the vision of the Lower School, as well as to contribute to the life of the school in a variety of ways.
