The Academic Dean is responsible for supporting student academic development and articulating and developing the vision of an innovative curriculum to best support our student-athletes dual pursuit of athletics and academics. Areas of responsibility include developing and overseeing the academic curriculum, academic reporting, and academic program logistics; developing and coordinating professional development for faculty in creative and student-centered pedagogy and curriculum design that builds student engagement and takes advantage of longer blocks of time and effective integration of technology; overseeing student placement, scheduling, and academic supports and accommodations; articulating and implementing values, policies and practices that support student academic honesty; and participating in conversations about admission, diversity and inclusion, calendar, and others as needed. Candidates with English or History teaching experience preferred. This position will include teaching a section of our senior project curriculum and at least one other course.
