Sugar Bowl Academy, a small independent school specializing in the academic and athletic development of competitive skiers. SBA's Spanish program is growing and therefore an additional full time Spanish teacher to support the needs of the language program, beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year. Job duties will also include significant involvement within the SBA community beyond the classroom including serving as an advisor for 8-10 students., experiential education leader, point person, and serve as a faculty on duty in the residence hall.
Prospective candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and the ability to teach introductory level through advanced level Spanish in a college preparatory program. A Master’s degree in secondary education and teaching experience at the high school level is preferred.
Sugar Bowl Academy is a residential and day school serving 80 students in grades 8-12 located eight miles from the town of Truckee, California.
