Princeton Day School seeks experienced candidates for a full-time Middle School Humanities position beginning Fall 2018. Teaching responsibilities may include two sections of 7th or 8th grade History and two sections of 7th or 8th grade English. We are looking for teachers committed to the middle school aged student. Additionally, we seek candidates who are committed to our mission of educating and nurturing each student. PDS is particularly interested in teachers who engage diversity and environmental sustainability, and challenge students to relate literature studies to their local and global worlds. Strong candidates will be knowledgeable about and committed to best practices, including interdisciplinary collaboration and the use of technology to enhance student learning. In developing and sharing curricular ideas, PDS teachers strive to create a coherent experience, full of supportive challenge, for all students.
A full-time faculty member serves as a homeroom advisor and has various duties including an extra-curricular activity. Our faculty are expected to contribute to the school life outside the classroom.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in English or History, or related fields
