The Director is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive and robust extended day and holiday camp program. The position will require creative energy and initiative.
Develop and implement a program that models the mission of the School and includes age appropriate supervision and activities that model the quality, attitudes and developmental approaches of the School.
Create daily programming for the Lower and Middle Schools, including Holiday Camp.
Develop and market special programming for Holiday Camp and Lower School after-school enrichment classes.
Provide an extended day program for our Pegasus and other school-sponsored summer programs.
Hire, organize, train, and supervise staff.
Manage enrollment, budget, and supplies.
Work with the Marketing and Communication office to create marketing and promotional materials, both electronic and paper, that provide program details for both current and prospective families.
Work with the Lower and Middle School Heads around programming, calendar and communication.
Create guidelines, expectations, and procedures for communication with participating families.
Communicate and coordinate with faculty with regards to after school student enrollment and use of classroom space.
Ensure protocols for safety and supervision comply with MICDS policy.
Network with other service providers to stay up to date on comparable programs in the community.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the School’s discretion.

Bachelor Degree. Focus in Elementary Education, Masters Preferred.
Prior experience in grades JK-8 education required. Experience in after school enrichment programs preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.
Strong track record in program development and entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong computer skills for communicating, budgeting, collecting data, and marketing program.
