Cary Academy is seeking a student-centered, imaginative, team-oriented and adventurous educator to join our Middle School science department. Cary Academy offers an exciting Middle School science program that integrates biological, physical and earth sciences with mathematics and technology while also emphasizing inquiry and hands-on learning. Sixth-grade students are guided through the steps of the scientific method and taught the skills needed to investigate topics and conduct experiments. This background lays the foundation for more in-depth exploration of fundamental scientific principles in seventh and eighth grade.
Candidates for this position must be committed to understanding and meeting the unique development need of Middle School students.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in the content area (advanced degree preferred). Experience: At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in the content area with Middle School students. Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above.
