The John Cooper School is seeking an Art Teacher to teach Drawing, Print Making, and Computer Aided Drawing in Grades 6-12 for the 2018-2019 school year.
The John Cooper School is an independent, non-sectarian, co-educational, college preparatory day school. Position open 2018-19 school year:
Art Teacher – Drawing/Print Making/ Computer Aided Drawing Grades 6-12
A strong foundation in a wide variety of drawing tools, materials, and techniques.
A strong foundation in Computer Aided Drawing programs such as Photoshop,
Sketchbook Pro, and CAD.
A knowledge of various printmaking techniques.
A portfolio of student work.
A portfolio of personal work.
A, B.S in Fine Arts, Art Education – Masters preferred.
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in supervised classroom role.
A desire to teach in a student centered department with an established curriculum
grounded in the Elements and Principles of Art and Design.
