The Delta School seeks risk-takers who can lead and support innovative teaching and learning in a K-12 school that teaches using human-centered design principles and project based learning. The Delta School utilizes a makers space and a school garden to complement projects that engage children in active, real world learning.
We are accepting applicants for multidisciplinary educators looking toward the 2018-2019 school year. This position would require someone who is extremely adaptable and willing to spend a large amount of time planning, collaborating with team members, and researching.
What we will provide for you:
Training in project-based learning and Human Centered Design
An ample budget to accommodate your project needs
Rent free housing
An exciting and intentional learning community that supports your creativity
The Delta School strives to create a school and working environment that is affirming and inclusive. The Delta School respects and values its diversity and does not discriminate on the basis of differences in age, ethnicity, family structure, national origin, physical attributes, race, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic background.
The position requires a bachelor's degree, but equally important is the ability to face open-ended, ambiguous problems and actively work to solve them. As a start up school attempting to break the normal molds of traditional education an innovative mind is a strong advantage. It is strongly recommended that you spend time researching our school and project based learning prior to applying. www.thedeltaschool.org
