This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and focuses on the fundraising activities of Connelly School of the Holy Child. The Development Office plans and executes a coordinated fundraising program integrating development and alumnae relations.
Responsibilities of the Annual Giving Manager:
Organize the overall Annual Fund campaign, including timing and nature of appeals, writing copy, and working with volunteers and outside vendors (as necessary) to manage all aspects of production with a focus on renewing and upgrading of current donors, as well as increasing the participation rates of all segments.
Generate gift acknowledgement letters, receipts, and pledge reminders in a timely manner.
Manage the creation of donor reports. Develop additional reports and lists that are responsive to the needs of the various internal constituents, including all Development Office staff and the Head of School.
Provide research on individuals, corporations, and foundations using a wide variety of biographical, organizational and financial sources. Analyze and synthesize accumulated information to assess prospects’ financial capacity, philanthropic interests, giving propensity and affinity to Holy Child.
Respond to requests for information from donors, volunteers, and staff in a professional and timely manner.
Perform all functions with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with event activities, particularly gift processing, recording RSVPs, and providing staff support at events as requested.
Update website to keep giving pages current.
Assist in raising funds for select special projects and events in collaboration with Development colleagues.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends periodically.
Technical and professional abilities:
Experience and proficiency using donor software, Microsoft Windows, MS Office
(Word and Excel), and MS Outlook.
Experience with Wealth Engine preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Time-management skills, the ability to multi-task under pressure, and have strong organizational and project management skills.
Work effectively with others and support organizational goals.

Demonstrate a positive and productive attitude.

About Connelly School of the Holy Child
Connelly School of the Holy Child Founded in 1961 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus as a college preparatory school for girls grade 6-12. The school is part of a network of 33 Holy Child schools in the United States, Europe and Africa, which is guided by the educational philosophy of Cornelia Connelly. Holy Child enrolls approximately 300 students every year from the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as across the globe.
