Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time Spanish teacher for the 2018-19 academic year.
Candidates should have Native or native-like fluency in Spanish with the ability to teach all levels of Spanish. Three or more years’ teaching experience and a master’s degree are desired. International Baccalaureate teaching experience is also preferred. Ability to teach both Spanish and French is a definite plus.
Teachers who have a dynamic presence in the classroom, an innovative and open approach to curriculum design, a collaborative approach to teaching, and who incorporate new technologies are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
Other responsibilities include:
Coaching and/or leading extra-curricular activities;
Weekend team responsibilities;
Residential/dormitory duties (if you are a residential faculty member);
Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain an CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.
