Dedham Country Day School in Dedham, Massachusetts is looking for an Executive Assistant to the Head of School. The Executive Assistant is responsible for administrative support of the Head of School, the Board of Trustees, and the broader school community, and will support and participate in the school's mission. The ideal candidate will bring a professional presence, energy, and enthusiasm to the position and be able to work with all employees, families, administrators and the Board of Trustees. Specific Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Head of School by managing a busy calendar and assist head daily in any way needed.
Individually and as a member of the Administrative Team, assist faculty and parents as needed in their various projects and events and act as an ambassador of the Head’s Office.
Schedule and keep track of assemblies on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the year.
Keep track of Early Morning drop-off coverage on Fridays from 7:15-8:00 a.m. in the Rand Gym.
Attend and take notes at Administration Meetings, Trustee Meetings, and the Annual Meeting.
Front desk responsibilities if office manager needs coverage.
Propagate calendar for the school year and maintain school calendar updates with new events, field trips, music parties, etc.
Starting in December, prepare preliminary calendar for the following school year, highlighting the beginning of school, December and March Breaks, Class Plays, and other important school events.
Oversee the Ladd Conference Room meeting schedule.
File graduate files at the end of each year, and file any student files of those leaving before Grade 8 by year of their actual graduating date.
Help as an Admissions greeter if needed for any Admissions events.
Cover designated lunch duties.
