The administrative assistant provides support for the Summer Session and Outreach programs. Under the Director’s supervision, the assistant generates correspondence, schedules appointments, submits and documents expenses, coordinates meetings, arranges travel, responds to callers and visitors, manages databases, updates websites, and performs other clerical tasks as necessary. The position demands outstanding administrative skills, proficiency in the MS Office Suite, the ability to maintain a collegial and welcoming atmosphere in the office, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while encountering frequent interruptions. Ability to learn to use new database software is essential. Routine clerical work is a normal part of duties. This is a half-time position (.50 FTE). During the summer program season June 15-August 15, a commitment to a full-time schedule 40 hours per week will be required; otherwise the regular schedule will be roughly 20 hours per week.

Associates Degree in related field preferred. Minimum of three years as an administrative assistant or executive assistant required preferably in an educational environment. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an ever-changing environment. Full background check required.
