Job Title: INTERIM Attendance Coordinator Department: Academics
The primary goal of the Attendance Coordinator position is to ensure the attendance of 100% of our students, punctually and consistently, throughout the academic year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop a strategic plan for attendance
Implement and execute attendance strategic plan.
Oversee the annual creation and maintenance of policies and documents regarding attendance.
Oversee faculty & staff professional development on the attendance policy, the implementation and enforcement of attendance policies.
Oversee maintenance of school student and faculty attendance records and data.
Oversee faculty/staff assigned to attendance detention duty and/or classroom coverage/substitute.
Collaborate with parents, guidance counselors, and home offices regarding students with attendance issues.
Facilitate students, parents, faculty and staff collaborative discussions as attendance issues arise.
Report/Share attendance data and improvement results with the school community on a weekly basis.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
