Countryside School seeks a talented elementary school educator to help realize the mission and vision of the school. This individual will serve as the 2nd grade primary contact teacher in the 2nd/3rd grade, co-taught, multi-age classroom.

Specific Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Motivate and instruct students in the subject areas included in the Countryside curriculum.
Prepare lessons, units, and materials in alignment with Countryside’s curriculum, mission, and vision.
Nurture social and emotional development of each student.
Participate fully in Countryside’s calendar of days and events.
Engage actively in curriculum development, design, and execution.
Cooperate and communicate with parents, staff, and Countryside on the progress of each student’s growth and development.
Accurately report student’s progress regularly to parents and administration.
Set high expectations for students and self.
Participate actively in professional growth and development programs.
Attend and actively participate in all school meetings (staff, team, task force, etc.)
Cooperate with colleagues and parents in providing a superior educational experience for each student.
Encourage and help each student realize his/her unique potential.

Qualification & Skills
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related/similar academic discipline.
Classroom teaching experience in an elementary setting preferred.
Commitment to the mission and philosophy of the school.
Knowledge of current pedagogical strategies and high proficiency with educational technology.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Collaborative and cooperative mindset.
Love of learning.
