The Chestnut Hill School is searching for Intern Teachers for the 2018-2019 school year. This full-time internship for individuals pursuing a master's in education and/or those who are exploring elementary school teaching. Interns are paired with a teacher in a K-6 classroom, observing classes, assisting with projects, and taking increased responsibility for classroom management and lesson planning/delivery. Interns will have experience in a community that values genuine openness to and respect for the perspectives and views of others, diversity and inclusion, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and supporting children of this age group. Interns receive formal support and take part in teaching seminars. Other responsibilities may include family/teacher conferences, meetings, and supervision duties. BA/BS required.
