Qualified candidates will be masterful educators, adept at teaching Hebrew as a 2nd language, who exhibit a deep knowledge of Hebrew language and culture, have facility in differentiating instruction, and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a modern orthodox yeshiva setting. We seek educators who are committed to collaborating and growing in their teaching practice, supporting diverse learners in the classroom, and serving as role models for engaged learning of Hebrew language and literature.
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
A passionate, charismatic, student-centered approach to teaching
Experience in recognized standards of language instruction and experience in effective methods of assessment of second-language skills
Ability and willingness to work with students in various group settings, using multiple teaching methods.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, teaching credential from an accredited institution (North America or Israel) is preferred.
Good classroom management skills.
Commitment to meaningful collaboration with colleagues.
Excellent communication skills and commitment to keeping parents informed and engaged.
Interest in professional growth and commitment to continuous learning
Commitment to improving the school as a whole and willingness to share best practices with others.
Ability to be self-reflective and commitment to learning from feedback received from colleagues, administrators, and students.
