POSITION OVERVIEW: Admiral Farragut Academy seeks an engaging and energetic full-time STEM teacher to teach engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), 3D printing, robotics programming, and general shop-building skills to students in 8th-12th grades, starting in August 2018.
ABOUT ADMIRAL FARRAGUT ACADEMY: Admiral Farragut Academy is a private preparatory school with small classes, a waterfront campus and a progressive approach to education. Located in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida, Admiral Farragut Academy is situated about 5 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico.
KEY COMPONENTS OF THE JOB:
Provide instruction in engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), 3D printing, robotics programming, and general shop-building skills
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred: Valid Florida teaching certificate for the level and subject area to be taught.
EXPERIENCE: Previous high-school teaching experience preferred, including technology-enhanced instruction.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.
Ability to pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprint clearance
Ability to pass a drug screen
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
