SPA seeks candidates for the position of Middle School Counselor. This is a full-time, one-year leave replacement position beginning in August of 2018. The primary focus of the Middle School Counselor is to provide direct social and emotional support to students in grades 6 through 8. Additional responsibilities include: teaching wellness classes; working collaboratively with parents, teachers, and administrators; providing parent education; sitting in as part of the Middle School Administrative Team. Graduate degree in counseling, school psychology, or closely related field is required, along with demonstrated experience working with adolescents and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
