Trinity Episcopal School is currently seeking applications for a Chief Development Officer.

The Chief Development Officer at Trinity Episcopal School is responsible for the leadership of development programs and events relating to both fundraising and community-building to advance the mission of the School. This Chief Development Officer oversees the Development Department with primary responsibility for leadership of the capital campaign.
The Chief Development Officer reports directly to the Head of School and serves on the school’s administrative Leadership Team. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Chief Development Officer attends all board meetings and acts as liaison to board committees as assigned by the Head of School. The Chief Development Officer oversees the work of the development office team.
Develop and implement a comprehensive, annual fundraising plan and community-building programs to achieve the School’s financial, fundraising, and strategic goals while supporting the School’s community.
Orchestrate the development and execution of a long-term capital campaign for the completion of the School’s master plan in collaboration with the Head of School, Board of Trustees, and campaign consultant.
Provide professional management, expertise, and direction to a development team charged with the following areas of school development: Annual Fund, Alumni Relations, Annual Gala, Horizons Funding, Community Events, Parent Council, Volunteer Management, Database Management, Gift Processing and Recognition, and Stewardship of Donors, Volunteers, and Community Members.
Oversee the operations of the department, with the support of the Director of Development, to assure that each activity performs optimally in support of the School.
Preferred Expertise and Experience:
At least 5 years of proven experience and knowledge in:
Major gift programs and capital campaigns, including prospect research, cultivation, personal solicitation, acknowledgment, stewardship, recognition, and volunteer management;
Recruitment, training, motivation of leadership volunteers;
Private foundation research, cultivation, program design, and grant writing;
Budgeting development plan development, and report analysis;
Supervision of personnel and performance evaluation;
Fundraising software and database management.

Bachelor’s degree or higher; CFRE desirable;
Must be available to attend school related events outside of normal business hours.
