River Oaks Baptist School has an opening for a lower and middle school PE teacher and coach. In addition to leading PE classes for lower and middle school students, the applicant will also coach after-school middle school sports and provide supervision inside the locker room before and after PE classes. The Physical Education teacher has the primary task of developing in each student an understanding of the relationship of exercise and good body function; cultivate physical fitness habits, and be able to develop knowledge and motor skills through individual, dual, and team physical activities and sports.

To be considered for this position, qualified candidates will have a
With a minimum of 24 hours in Physical Education and 12 hours of educational courses (is preferred)
A teaching certification for Physical Education and for the grade-level applying
In addition, the following qualities are preferred (but not required):
Expertise and experience coaching volleyball, soccer, and tennis
Expertise and experience coaching teams for both boys and girls
At least two years teaching and/or coaching experience
A cover letter
