The Assistant to the Head of Middle School must have the ability to manage multiple functions, be well organized, and value confidentiality. This assistant must be proficient with the use of technology. Experience with Senior Systems and Finalsite are a plus.

Schedule appointments for Head of Middle School
Input daily attendance in Senior Systems an email daily attendance to faculty and nurse
Record minutes and agenda faculty meetings
File and archive minutes as needed
Print, copy, and file reports
Attend calendar meetings and maintain Middle School calendars for parents and teachers
Manage calendar for Middle School community events including security calendar for Middle School visitors
Attend Back to School Night once a year
Order supplies for faculty, classrooms and Lower School office
Manage and coordinate textbooks with school’s textbook supplier
Maintain substitute teacher list and confirm substitute coverage for absent faculty
Create and maintain record files
Track teacher recommendations up to and including when the original form is mailed to the prospective school
Maintain student data records including student transcripts, academic history, report cards, and assisting with scheduling

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting
Ability to make independent decisions along with maintaining the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information
High level of competence using technology
Experience with Senior Systems a plus
Strong references to convey your abilities
Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks
Completion of Virtus: Protecting God's Children training
Current CPR certification
Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
Punctuality and dependability
Ability to maintain accurate records
Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures and rules contained in the Duchesne Employee Handbook
Maintain productive relationships with other Duchesne faculty and staff, working closely with other Department Heads where applicable
Maintain professional relationships with the Board of Trustees
