Avenues New York launched in 2011 and currently serves 1,550 students in grades Nursery – 12. Our second campus in São Paulo will open in August 2018. Our Information Systems and Technology team is comprised of outstanding professionals at the intersection of education, operations, and technology.
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for the implementation and support of technology infrastructure including hardware, software, and office/classroom systems. S/he must effectively diagnose issues and correct problems as well as provide the primary help desk support to end users with exceptional customer service. This role will also take on other technical projects in the technology area.
Resolve technical difficulties with hardware, software, VoIP telecommunication equipment, AV equipment and the network
Respond to, prioritize, solve and track incoming technology support requests
Develop and maintain technical documentation of hardware, software and systems
Evaluate and recommend products for purchase, in support of procurement and development
Perform PC, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs
Support long-term capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations
When necessary, work with third-party support and equipment vendors
Assist with onboarding procedures, equipment, account set-up
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
Classroom technology maintenance/support
Classroom technology includes projectors / camera / document cameras
VoIP telecommunication equipment
Systems account management

Mac and iOS hardware/software experience, with MAC certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
