ISB seeks a Middle School French Language Acquisition (French as a Foreign Language) Teacher
International School of Brooklyn (ISB) is an independent, non-profit school that is known for its innovative and robust Nursery–8th Grade French and Spanish language immersion program and International Baccalaureate curriculum. Candidates should be skilled to take the lead with lesson planning and implementation and actively participate in collaborating in creating and implementing curriculum studies. Candidates need to have at least two years teaching experience in a Middle School setting. The preferred candidate also needs to be a bilingual, or near native French/English speaker.
Candidates should enjoy creating learning experiences designed to nurture the development of the whole child, enjoy a strong collaborative work environment, enjoy using a wide array of resources to build rich inquiry and learning experiences, have experience integrating multiple approaches to ensure various learning styles are well supported. Candidates should have experience working with Middle School aged children, have a true love of working with this age group, value a collaborative work setting, enjoy working closely with a support team within the classroom and have excellent communication skills.
