Duties and responsibilities include:
Preparation and implementation of daily lessons
Delivery of assignments and timely evaluation of all relevant work and student progress
Design and implementation of appropriate, authentic assessments and support of individual student learning styles, abilities, and achievement
Timely and proactive communication with parents
Timely and effective communication with all school constituencies
Serving as an Advisor to small group of students
Sponsoring and assisting with student activities, clubs, and organizations
Collaborating with other members of the faculty, administration and staff on interdisciplinary and community-based opportunities
Active participation in all faculty and staff meetings, parent nights, conferences, and school events
Support of divisional and school-wide initiatives through committee work, where appropriate
Supervision and/or participation in non-academic activities, including lunch and study hall
Antilles School anticipates the following openings for the 2018-2019 school year:
middle and upper school learning resource teacher and program coordinator (one position)
middle and upper school history teacher
upper school Spanish teacher
Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in subject area, teaching certification preferred or related teaching experience in secondary education
Ability to foster positive relationships based on mutual respect and trust
Demonstrated command of knowledge applicable to the position
Ability to teach academic skills and foster intellectual habits
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multiple constituencies
Excellent presentation skills
Detail-oriented team player with the ability to remain positive and be self-directed

Antilles School is an independent coeducational day school located on St. Thomas, in the US Virgin Islands. Antilles enrolls approximately 500 students in a toddler program through grade 12. Antilles occupies a distinct place in the culture and the history of the larger Virgin Islands community.
