We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and collaborative person to lead our middle and upper school athletics programs. The Director of Athletics will oversee a dynamic athletic program of grades 6 through 12. Duties include but not limited to: enforcing school expectations of students, staff and patrons; hiring, mentoring and evaluation of staff; overseeing student standards for eligibility; interpreting MSHSAA rules and regulations; overseeing the scheduling of contests and the personnel needed to host events; supervision of contests; will be the liaison between the program and the upper and school Principals and act as an advocate for the school. The department includes a supportive staff of an Associate Director of Athletics, two Assistant Athletic Directors (middle and upper school), a certified athletic trainer, a certified strength and conditioning coach and an administrative assistant.
The Pembroke Hill School is a co-ed independent college preparatory school with two campuses serving early childhood thru high school and located in the country club plaza area of Kansas City, Missouri. The school is a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association and competes in class 3 in football and class 4 in boys and girls basketball with a upper school enrollment of 410 students. Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant work experience required, C.A. A. certification (Certified Athletic Administrator), through the National Federation of State High Schools is preferred.
