Saint Patrick Catholic School in Norfolk is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant schedules appointments gives information to callers, takes dictation, and otherwise relieves officials of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail by performing some of the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include some of the following:
Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings.
Greets and escorts scheduled visitors to designated area or person.
Answers and screens the principal’s telephone calls, and arranges conference calls.
Coordinates principal’s schedule and makes appointments.
Composes and edits routine correspondence.
Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence or other printed material.
Oversees the facility rental program.
Prepares and maintains the school calendars for internal and external use.
Edits, maintains and arranges printing of all school handbooks and directories.
Assumes responsibility for special research and other projects for the principal.
Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
Supports the school and its leadership.
