Providence Country Day School in East Providence, RI has an opening for a Director of Library and Media Services, effective July 1, 2018. The position will be responsible for expanding available technological and media services to transform our current program into a 21st Century library and resource center. The successful candidate will position research as a creative tool; have expertise with available technologies and their applications; assist and lead students and teachers in understanding the full range of library services and opportunities; support teachers with technological integration for research projects; plan, develop, and implement library programs that engage teachers and students, communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and establish, foster, and maintain positive working relationships.
Other duties will be assigned, including, but not limited to advising, coaching or activity leadership, and study hall monitoring.
Increasingly responsible experience in a professional library setting and a Master’s degree in Library Science or related field from an accredited university are preferred.
