Georgetown Day School seeks a Middle School History teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. Primary job responsibilities include teaching four sections of History and serving as an advisor. Rich content, creative pedagogy and authentic relationships are essential components of a GDS classroom. The ability to provide those elements, work collaboratively with colleagues, and place the students’ interests and experiences at the heart of the classroom is an essential component of the job. Qualifications: a B.A. in History is required. The successful candidate will likely have a master’s degree in History or Social Studies and three years or more of teaching experience at the middle school level.
