Christ Episcopal School (CES), serving students from preschool through grade 8, is seeking a dynamic upper elementary school mathematics and science teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. The ideal candidate would be interested in joining a collaborative school community, providing a positive and challenging learning experience for each student, using differentiated learning strategies, and embracing an integrated curriculum model. This person would demonstrate a passion for helping upper elementary school aged children develop socially, emotionally, and academically and a desire to develop leadership skills.
Requirements of a successful candidate for Upper Elementary Math/Science Teacher at CES:
An undergraduate degree (masters preferred) in elementary education
Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in math and science
An ability to differentiate instruction and offer project-based learning opportunities
Interest in developing education leadership skills
Experience with using technology in the classroom
A desire to work as part of a team
Good time-management skills
Initiative and creativity
A high level of energy
