Friends School Haverford seeks an educator / classroom aide to provide strategy-based push-in support to individual students in a variety of classrooms and age groups. Special education background is preferred; as well as a coach that problem solves and has a “tool box” of learning strategies for differentiating curriculum and engaging with children.
Working collegially with classroom teachers and members of the learning resource team, student support coaches participate in the development and implementation of plans that match the learning and social profiles of individual students. Coaches also participate in communication with parents. As a learning partner with the lead teacher, a support coach prompts growth for all through modeling, conversation, experience, and practice.
Friends School Haverford is a small, constructivist, Quaker school, whose curriculum boasts a rich outdoor education strand, a focus on teaching tools for social interaction, and a robust student culture of kindness.
