The Blake School seeks to hire an imaginative, bright and engaging lower school classroom teacher to lead an intermediate grade classroom on our Blake campus beginning in the 2018-2019 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with elementary students, will articulate a familiarity with best practices in elementary education and will demonstrate a lively intellect and a thoughtful approach to education. Committed to creating a faculty culture that supports continuous growth and development, we seek an educator who is reflective, open to feedback and eager for professional collaboration. Blake is interested in candidates who will enrich the diversity of identity, lived experience and thinking that makes our community strong and empowers students to engage across differences.
The search committee will begin reviewing applications on March 19, 2018.
Blake will typically cover the travel and lodging costs for finalist candidates visiting from out of town.
