Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school, is searching for a full-time Small Groups Teacher for the 2018-19 school year. Calvert School is located in Tuscany-Canterbury, a residential neighborhood in Baltimore City, just north of Johns Hopkins University and south of Loyola University Maryland, accessible from Charles Street and I-83.
The Small Groups Teacher will teach 10 to 15 students per class and will primarily teach Reading and Math to students in Kindergarten and Pre-First. The teacher will also teach two sections of Art to Kindergarten and Pre-First students. In addition to teaching, faculty members are also expected to contribute to the Calvert community as coaches, club advisors, and serve on school committees on occasion.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with prior teaching experience. A Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates must have excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
