The Colorado Springs School is looking for a qualified School Counselor who will:
Teach social-emotional growth lessons to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade
Support social-emotional learning in middle school advisory groups
Teach 6th grade study, organization, and time management skill classes
Teach high school Health and Wellness class
Support students with emotional challenges, and support students with conflict resolution
Support teachers working with students who are going through social or emotional challenges
A master’s degree and certificate in school counseling are required. Candidates with experience working with students across a wide range of ages in a school setting are preferred. CSS teachers and support staff have a firm understanding of academic, social, and emotional development in addition to an innovative mindset with strong skills in communication (with students, parents, and workplace peers), collaboration, student-centered instruction, and technology.
