The Palm Valley School is located in Rancho Mirage, CA, in the heart of the beautiful Coachella Valley. We are a college-preparatory school that serves around 400 students in Preschool through Grade 12. The Palm Valley School is the only CAIS/NAIS Independent School in the Coachella Valley. We are seeking a full time Lower School Classroom teacher, grade level assignment depending on candidate interest and experience. We have small class sizes at Palm Valley School with an average ratio in Lower School of 12:1. We also offer a full selection of specialist classes for students in the lower school including technology, library, music, art, and Global studies.
Qualified candidates would hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field, have a minimum of three (3) years experiences teaching in a related area, and be passionate about Independent School education and working with students in lower school. Ideal candidates would be lifelong learners who are passionate about teaching, willing to fully embrace technology integration, be knowledgeable about project based learning, enjoy collaborating with students and colleagues, be a strong communicator, and have a good understanding of the developmental needs of students in grades K-5.
