Calvert School, an independent lower and middle school, is searching for a full-time Spanish Teacher for the 2018-19 school year. Calvert School is located in Tuscany-Canterbury, a residential neighborhood in Baltimore City, just north of Johns Hopkins University and south of Loyola College, accessible from Charles Street and I-83.
The Teacher will teach Spanish to lower school students in grades Kindergarten through Fourth Grade. In addition, the teacher will be responsible for teaching reading and math to small groups of 10 to 15 students in Kindergarten. The teacher will also serve on the foreign language team. In addition to teaching, faculty members are also expected to contribute to the Calvert community as coaches, club advisors, and serve on school committees on occasion.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with prior teaching experience. A Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates must have excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
