The Director of Advancement is a member of the School’s Leadership Team, reporting to the Director. The Director of Advancement is responsible for leading the School’s development and publications program (print and digital.) The Director of Advancement will also be responsible for developing and maintaining productive relationships with board members, donors, and other members of the school community.
In support of LREI’s progressive mission, the Director of Advancement will work closely with the Director and
Lead the creation of an overall development plan that is in sync with, and achieves the goals of, LREI’s Strategic Plan
Lead LREI’s endowment campaign
Develop and coordinate LREI’s Annual Fund
Develop a comprehensive planned-giving program
Develop and coordinate LREI’s major gifts campaign
Develop and coordinate LREI’s stewardship program
Manage all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations
Foster growth in the participation of LREI’s alumni in all aspects of the School’s program, including in the School’s development efforts
Serve as administrative support for the Board’s Development Committee and for the Alumni Association
Manage the Advancement Office staff (currently four), including setting group and individual goals and performing annual reviews of each office member
Work with the Board’s Committee on Trustees to help to identify potential new trustees
Serve as liaison between the School and the Parents Association
Oversee the processing of all gift income for the purpose of maintaining accurate records and for providing receipts for donors
Supervise all event planning including our Big Auction, Art Auction, Speaker Series, Alumni Reunion and our upcoming Centennial Celebration
Work with the Director of Admissions and Director of Communications to develop a public relations and marketing/advertising plan
Design and oversee production of all major publications, including the Summer Newsletter, the Annual Report, the School’s website, and working with designers and printers to promote the school’s fund and friend-raising goals and activities
Maintains the School’s online, digital media and social network presence
Develop and organize parent volunteers
Prompt the Director, Board Chair and other trustees on relationship building, solicitation timelines and deadlines
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
