Oak Hill School seeks a creative and collaborative candidate for a self-contained classroom. The preferred candidate will have a strong knowledge base of literacy and math instruction. The ability to collaborate with a team of teachers to develop lesson plans and instructional materials is essential. Responsibilities include effectively managing the classroom, establishing a positive rapport with students and parents, creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, using a wide variety of engagement and assessment techniques to meet individual learning profiles, communicating openly with parents to provide information about academic and behavior progress, and participating in meetings and professional development initiatives of the school faculty. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher in education. The preferred candidate will have at least two years of teaching experience in a lower school environment.
