Rosarian Academy seeks a full-time Science Teacher with demonstrable classroom experience in physics, chemistry, biology and earth science. He or she has the desire to grow in an innovative professional learning community, is enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and is current with best practices. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the academic and social-emotional needs of middle school students in grades 5-8 and demonstrate the ability to teach students who vary in ability and learning styles. Candidates must be willing to collaborate with faculty and families and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the school community. Strong classroom management skills, solid communication, enthusiasm and a growth mindset are a must.
Qualifications: all applicants must be certified or currently working toward secondary school certification and hold a Bachelor's degree in Scienceor a related field of study. A Master's degree is preferred. S/he will have at least 3 years of successful teaching experience and will complete Level 1 and 2 background screenings and Virtus training. Additionally, s/he should be able to understand and support Rosarian's vision, mission and values, understanding the unique nature of a Catholic, Independent school environment.
