We are seeking a skilled and experienced History & Social Science teacher beginning in August 2018. The Archer School for Girls is an educational community that supports and challenges young women to discover their passions and realize their true potential. Serving 490 girls in grades 6-12, Archer’s joyful and ambitious program is founded on the latest research around how girls learn best.
The ideal candidate has a strong educational background and exemplary pedagogical skills, strong content knowledge, experience leading curricular innovation and design, and a passion for teaching and learning from teaching and learning from young people.
Archer’s History and Social Science courses afford students active learning opportunities to construct knowledge and derive meaning. Knowledge and skills are anchored in enduring understandings to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century and to thrive in an increasingly connected and global world. History courses focus on teaching students to think critically and to analyze historical events from multiple perspectives, including primary source accounts.
