The Pinnacle School is offering an exciting opportunity for a full time Academic Division Leader to join our team beginning in July, 2018. In this position, you will plan, write, oversee, and manage teachers and clinical staff, integrate curriculum into all school activities (classroom, class trips, enrichment activities ,etc.). Other responsibilities include:
Map curriculum across year and years (several different tracts from basic to accelerated).
Determine and manage academic cohorts.
Track academic progress across subject areas.
Assist in the creation and management of student schedules.
Create and integrate study skills curriculum (and executive functions curriculum) into student’s school day.
Mentor and train staff in the areas of differentiation, diverse instructional methodologies,; scaffold complex topics to increase staff understanding and provide skills for differentiated instruction.
Standardize homework assignments and policies.
Manage report card activity, including teacher narrative oversight (i.e. review/edit/finalize).

CT teaching certification (special ed. a plus)
2+ years of experience writing/managing curriculum across all subject areas and a successful track record of integrating curriculum into all levels of school activities.
Prefer experience working with middle and high school populations.
Flexible team player with a collaborative and positive influencing style.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
