Glenelg Country School is seeking a full-time Alumni Coordinator for the 2018/2019 academic year beginning in July. The Alumni Coordinator will be responsible for alumni events, programming, and communications. This is a 12-month, 40 hour/week position with full benefits. The Alumni Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Development.
Help create implement and maintain a strong alumni relations program
Help develop strategies to increase alumni giving
Plan, coordinate, implement, and follow-up on all alumni events
Manage Alumni Board meetings, events, and activities
Manage alumni Social Media
Envision and write content for alumni communications including the school website, electronic newsletters, invitations and solicitations
Create content for the Alumni section of the website
Manage Class Notes for magazine
Coordinate Senior Class program
Assist in maintaining and updating the data base
Other duties as assigned

Strong technology skills- Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
Data base experience preferably with Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud
The desire and willingness to assist colleagues outside of the job description
Must be able to comply with background check, including fingerprints, as required by the agency and / or state regulations.
Must have regular access to reliable vehicle.
Evening, weekend, and Holiday hours may be required. Lifting and carrying of equipment is not typical, but may be required on rare occasions. Lifting up to 25 pounds. Significant computer use, including extensive close use of a computer monitor. Sitting. Standing. The position requires the ability and desire to work in an independent school environment with volunteers, a variety of school organizations, and in cooperation with the other members of the development staff.
