The Bugil Academy Global Leader Program (GLP) features a challenging AP-oriented curriculum taught in English-only classes providing unparalleled preparation for the top-tier universities in the United States and the United Kingdom. In addition to strengthening their English fluency, GLP students develop their own unique color and character through the Directed Research Project and a variety of leadership positions that help them grow as young leaders.
Each student takes seven courses including the Directed Research Project, which allows students to conduct independent research on their topic of interest. Teachers support the students in this endeavor from beginning to end, and students can obtain help from outside experts and facilities.
The GLP has a 6:1 student teacher ratio, and each student is assigned one teacher as a mentor that serves as a counselor to help students in both their academic and social life at the GLP. The academic environment of the school enhances time management skills, diligence, and self-reliance.
The Math Department is looking for bright, energetic, flexible professionals capable of teaching a variety of upper-level math courses. We want our students, in addition to learning advanced math skills, to experience creativity, research, cross-cultural versatility, and even debate within math classes. Courses include AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and Advanced Topics in Mathematics.
We prefer, but do not require, candidates who meet some or all of these criteria: have at least two years full-time experience teaching secondary math courses; hold an advanced degree in Math or Math Education; and have lived or taught in a foreign country. Mostly, we are looking for exceptional teachers who welcomes the rewards and challenges of living and teaching abroad.
Interested candidates should e-mail a cover letter, resume, and at least two references to Graham Wik, GLP Director at email@example.com.
